My Mom

My mother was just 17 when she and my Dad married. Soon afer my brother was born and 17 months after that she had me.

My mother was a great Mom (still is).. I have always looked up to her. My brother and I had everything we always needed, maybe not everything we wanted.. She always knew where we were and what we were doing... She was the neighborhood Mom, everyone wanted to come to our house...

I remember playing kick the can in our front yard with all the kids in the neighborhood and Mom would get on to all those kids just like they were hers...

Dad worked two jobs, He was a fireman for 30 something years and worked a side job as a private investigator, so she was the Mom and the Dad...

She always made sure we went on Vacation every year.. We may go to the Smokey Mountains or Navarre Beach Florida, or we may just go to Biloxi for a few days, It was always important to her to take us somewhere...

I go to my parents house every other week to clean their house... the funny thing is she cleans it before I get there... She don't want me to work too hard.. She and I both know that that is just an excuse we both use to hang out, without her feeling like she is taking up the time I spend with my family... Sometimes we go shopping just to get the two of us out of the house..

I love my Mom and Dad so much.. And God only knows what I will do without them.
All I know, if everyone in this world had been blessed with my parents, I don't think the world would be as it is now. I have never not felt loved by them.

I love this Picture of them.. This is my mothers Junior Prom, My Dad asked her to marry him that night and gave her an engagement ring.. That was April 1959...

I Love you Mom and DAD!!!!

I am in tears. I feel the same way about my parents. It's such a special bond. I agree with you whole-heartily.
